The United Nations recently designated June 3, 2018, as the inaugural World Bicycle Day. The first-ever celebration will include a wonderful assortment of special events–including all types of bike rides–all around the world. One extraordinary gathering of international leaders will convene at United Nations headquarters in New York City.
More than 800 million people around the world will ride a bicycle this year. They’ll participate in an efficient, healthy, sustainable and fun activity that provides reliable transportation, beneficial recreation and crucial access to food, education, work, health care, and other essential services.
